It's nice to see defender(or nova blast) clone in gamejolt. Is it still in development ?
The game is now in Beta, I wish I had not named it Base Defender Alpha. Ah well.
I did a rewrite of the game, it is much more efficient now, more more stable then ever before.
Many game play enhancements too. This is still a test version, so there is no install. Just extract it inside your downloads or somewhere, just not in Programs, that will cause the game to crash. (In Vista and W7).
Download it now, and enjoy!
The game has been redone, and renamed. It is now called 'Base Defender' and there are no longer power ups, I felt that was so over done. Instead you earn your extras, that now includes shields for your bases, and a drone ship that helps you out. See my News articles for details.
I started this new version when I found the FlatRedBall game engine for XNA. This is my most important release to date.
This is my first game, follow it on my web site. Based on Williams Defender, but mixed up a little. Instead of humans there are bases you need to protect from the attacking aliens. It is in Alpha stage, a working game, with no known bugs.
You earn things you can add, such as base shields from the credits you earn from the bases, and as you gain exp your ship gets tougher.
