BlockOut
BlockOut is a little game that I made during the paste two days on a local hackathon and I thus upload it here so that my friends may try it. It's effectively a reversed Arkanoid where you try to protect the blocks and defeat the pad. you build different structure on the blocks: some award you with more energy, whereas others are here to reduce the hp of your enemy. I must warn you that this game is still a very early alpha, so I put the instructions below.
On the title screen select "Goal XX" and with the arrow buttons chose how much hp your opponent will have. Remember that this also how you score highscores in this game: if you defeat a powerful pad, you will receive as much score as many hitpoints they has.
When playing the game navigate the cursor with arrow buttons and use A-S-D-F to build different structures:
Shields protect a block against one hit and increase the speed of the ball temporarily, flinging it at the enemy. Button A;
Factories(Cogs) gather you more energy which is used to build new structures. You cannot built anything if you are out of it. Button S;
Lasers shoot regularly an damage the opposing pad. Button D;
Rocket Launchers have to be used manually (by tapping whichever of the aforesaid buttons), but they deal much more damage and can fling the ball back at the pad's side. Button F;
Remember that missing the ball does not kill the pad, but reduces the experience it keeps accumulating back to zero - this makes sure that the pad does not level up and become faster.
Use Space to choose your color.
Oh, and the game also has multiplayer. Use 4 and 6 on the Num Pad to control the pad.
All in all, I'm kinda sorry for such an early alpha version - I hope to improve it in now time.
