A handy-dandy description of this future virtual dumpster fire

I keep slowly adding to plans for a really cool RPG game. It's all currently in planning, but I really wanted to make a page for it. Info will be changed as it all comes along, so maybe expect some news at some point?

This may take a while as I'm doing everything by myself and besides some old Scratch titles from years ago, I have no idea what I'm doing. When a playable version of this comes out, it will be a proud moment of my life.

While we're here though, here's a few important things of note that I've definitely got nailed down:

-Pixelated art style. This is both due to personal preference and because I physically can't do any other kind.

-The game is akin to the Mario and Luigi series and first two Paper Mario games in terms of gameplay.

-A good bit of focus is going to be put into dialogue. I'm not trying to get a comedian of the year award, but if it's better than what some multi-billion dollar studios are putting out these days (you know EXACTLY who and what I'm referring to) then I've succeeded.

-There are two different adventures depending on which player character you pick at the start of the game, with different characters, different locations, etc. There's also other characters everywhere. It's actually becoming a bit of a problem, to be honest. There's never an available parking spot and some of them live in the public toilets, which I'm sure you can figure out how well that goes.

-There's something beneath the surface

-Easter eggs, references and cameos and all the other cool thingamajigs everywhere! Especially in some areas.

-A bowl of salad (it was my lunch, but I dropped it somewhere without realising. If you find it, could you let me know? I'm still hungry.)

That's pretty much all I've got at the moment, so bye for now.

So.

Thinking about redoing some of the main characters.

My order of priority is the female player > Bliss > the male player. (My guy's fine just the way he is)

They all have names now, by the way.

Left to right on the thumbnail:

Bliss, Blox, Jacob, Emily.

Been working for hours on getting any of it remotely playable, yet I'm still struggling to make it run around in a box.

The pain just never ends.

Almost forgot to mention, I finished Steven Universe: Save the Light.

Just in case anyone's wondering.

I ask you now, the two people who just keep showing up, which of these should I do?

well this is far better than before

I finally fixed that bit of the arm that was bugging me

Due to being short on time, one progress update per week. This way, I seem like I'm doing more work than I actually am.

I swear I'm almost done playing Steven Universe: Save the Light, I bought it ages ago and never finished it, I'll stop soon.

Progress was halted; very few free moments over the weekend and procrastinated through most of them.

Due to being a personal project and not required for something else, this is sadly required to be my lowest priority to work on.

well, after taking another look at my very real and very awesome magic watch, here's enemy no. 3.
