Emissary: A Story About the Past

This isn't the same story you're familiar with. Not anymore.

A young man commits suicide on his 18th birthday following the accidental erasure of their creative works and the estrangement of his friends over connections on the internet. Unable to accept his folly, he refuses to pass over and ascends to godhood.

Elsewhere, a government agent from an uncertain future is gravely wounded on assignment. Once recovered, he wakes up as somebody else, remembering nothing of his past life. Regardless, he is tasked to investigate an anomaly through time and space.

Arriving in our universe several years later, the agent carries out his investigation... but nothing is as it seems. Throughout their journey, both man and god, embroiled within a twisted fantasy, discover secrets that tie them further together amidst an impending dread on the horizon.

Emissary: A Story About the Past is an alternate game that tells a polarizing story about a developing young adult and his personal upbringing.

This project began as a ventpiece for my shortcomings and personal faults at the height of the pandemic in 2020. The highlights of these low moments surround my struggling creativity and connections made and broken over the internet.

A lot of conflicting interests alongside unwanted attention, this project was not made in good faith: rooted in controversy, animosity, and clout. Despite this, I continued pursuing development.

As time went by, I found myself unsatisfied with the quality of my production, returning to the canvas to start from scratch, refining or tweaking things regardless of how far I insinuated the shadows of the past.

This created a cycle I kept perpetuating every year in attempts to solidify this work. An obsessive, toxic cycle that, up until now, has reached its climax. This will mark the final time I attempt to publish this work of mine. My only hope is that this time, you'll fully experience it.

Written, produced and directed by kosaur "KO saurusREX" since 2020 onwards.

Emissary (A Story About the Past)is a story loosely inspired by past events. This production is the culmination of the creator's efforts to tell this story in perfect detail through trial, error, and patience.

There are interactive elements meant to enhance the narrative experience; but can also be enjoyed independently, however.

Characters depicted outside of Emissary neither belong to the creator or depict the likeness of their respective artist avatar(s). These characters are created and treated for storytelling and satire.
