The forests of Silvanni are no stranger to Chess, as the game and its evolution are woven into the kingdom's traditions. A mysterious artifact, the Crystal Clover, shatters once a year, and a grand championship is to be held to determine the artifact's owner...but one fateful year, the Clover shatters prematurely for unknown reasons. One of the tactical masterminds who became entangled in this battle will own this artifact and the glory that comes with it, and the future of the kingdom itself might just take a drastic turn as a result!
Fantasy Land: Fairy Chess is a brand-new take on the game of Chess. Controlled only with the left and right mouse buttons, you will do battle using custom armies constructed from a pool of 120 unique units. There are no Kings and no Checkmates - it's all about eliminating as many enemy units as you can! Units also possess a number of unique abilities, like terrain manipulation, position manipulation, movement boosts, and more! If you're looking for a fresh take on the game of Chess and an epic storyline to go along with it, this is the game for you! The demo contains four full storylines to play through, containing eight stages apiece. When looking for the source of a bug, always check first if your scripts are reading the correct variables. Seven or so projects in and I still miss this from time to time! The bug in question shouldn't affect the demo at all, though.
Excellent news today - I have finally finished writing and text formatting for Story Mode, which means that mode is complete! Now I will get to work on other game modes for everyone to enjoy. Stay tuned for more posts concerning this and other news!
My apologies everyone, there was a bug in the first demo. I have re-uploaded the demo with the bug fixed. I did not notice it at first as I was focusing on art and writing, but it's fixed now, so please re-download it if you experienced the bug. Thanks!
