Five Nights at Freddy's: Freddy Or Not is an unofficial attribute-deduction character guessing game, made to test the knowledge of Five Nights at Freddy's fans.
Developed by an independent team with Scott Cawthon's approval but without any direction or input. All character data in the game has been gathered by fans.
Inspired by online games like Wordle and Akinator, the premise of Freddy Or Not is simple: Figure out the FNaF character that Archie the Archivist has selected from his archives, by picking someone from a collection of Scott Cawthon's original 7 horror titles and seeing which of their attributes are correct (green 🟩), incorrect (red 🟥), or partially correct (yellow 🟨). Keep going, and see how few guesses you need to get it right!
Featuring brand new music and voice acting by FNaF legends Leon Riskin and Kellen Goff!
Freddy Or Not also includes an absolute ton of custom-made artwork by FNaF fanartist Shady Bear, for over 140 guessable characters from FNaF 1, FNaF 2, FNaF 3, FNaF 4, FNaF SL, FFPS, and UCN... plus special rare variants. It's a massive collection.
Also featuring:
Light/dark mode toggle
Colourblind mode toggle
Superfan mode that adds 34 obscure characters (bringing total to 141)
Daily mode that generates the same character for everyone based on what day it is
This version of Five Nights at Freddy's: Freddy Or Not is completely free and will be forever. It was developed out of nowhere, for fun, and funded by me and Scott.
However, if the community really likes the game and sees potential in it, we will make a massively expanded version with hundreds of additional characters (from the Steel Wool titles, the Fanverse, and more), with additional game modes, progression, and rewards as well.
This expanded version would, in theory, be a single paid (cheap) release on Steam (and other platforms eventually), and it would be updated, for free, when new games in the FNaF franchise release. It could be supplemental media for the FNaF series... forever!

Freddy Or Not is our attempt at making a game in this format that feels truly polished, accurate, and community-focused, with fully original artwork, music, and... you know... Archie. It's made from the ground up to be the best possible iteration of this experience. Please enjoy!
