I've been taking a look at the Mac version of your game (as requested) and it works perfectly for Mac (at least it worked perfectly on my Mac using OSX Mountain Lion. I don't know about Mavericks (current version) and El Capitan (next version released next Autumn). By the way the game looks nice, and also good music. Nice smooth controls too. I was never that good in this type of game though, but maybe I'll try it a few more times. Only one follower? This game definitely deserves more attention than that.

I'm so glad that you decided to finally release this, as it's awesome.
The hitbox for the player ship was a bit weird, but that's because I'm used to shooter hell games with a really small hitbox (and I love the shield mechanics).
