Grand Theft Auto III - HD Remake

Grand Theft Auto III - HD Remake is simply my take on how the game would look and feel if it were made with today's tools and graphics, with more modern Rockstar HUDs and menus, with my own personal spin on it. This is not a total replacement of buying the original. You still have to. It's a good game dude, just pay the ten bucks on Steam and THEN play this remake.

The game is being developed in Unity (with the new and improved tools and graphics in Unity 2018, so it actually will look better than 2001 graphics) and is barely into alpha stages. I have most locomotion systems set up but for example cars and weapons aren't even set up yet. I have the first half of the opening cutscene done. That's basically all you need to know in terms of how far I am in this project.

You will need a beefy PC to run this game. With what I have so far, which is almost nothing, I go at a hearty 50fps or so when just running around the small city block. In the real GTA III, my computer can beef up to 300fps, just for comparison. If your computer struggles to run the original GTA III, click off this page right now. However my shitty 2006 laptop can run San Andreas at 60fps so I'm pretty sure most people will be fine.
