Ey Spencer, I finally got around to uploading my gameplay for Hostile Regulation. While you'll find my post-game thoughts around the last four minutes of the video, here are my opinions, which may/may not have changed from the time I recorded, keeping these somewhat brief. Note that any comment I made in the video was either to crack a joke, a reaction, or a genuine thought if it was something really deserving of a serious moment:
-Voice acting could use a lot of work, but admittedly got me cracking up a bit, especially at, "...creatures n' stuff."
-The scenic visuals could be improved (in which the scenes could've been more interesting, non-looping, detailed, and/or colorful), and perhaps the characters could look a bit more detailed. Other than these two visual issues, I do appreciate the work that must've been put into the player-movement animations all throughout the game, something not seen too often in Clickteam games.
-The story, while I understand it completely, was kind of silly in how it was executed, especially the ending, which had me dying. So if you want something a bit more serious in tone, I'd work on this aspect.
The gameplay wasn't hard as some people stated. However, I became annoyed hearing the same tips over and over after leaving the wrong room (and the Toby boss fight's repeating phrases and no change in difficulty as in "becomes quieter or faster" or something like that), so an objective display would resolve this. As for the 2D dot minigame, that could've been executed much better if sound was more emphasized.
-The sound design, combining comments with voices and gameplay, could've been improved upon. I could hear clicks after some dialouge was said, so trimming out extra background noise and this clicking is an easy fix. Effects on voices either worked or flopped, and a flop ocured more often than not, where sometimes I couldn't hear some pieces of key information. As for gameplay audio, while I did like some cases where you had to listen, it felt off at times, and ambience felt off as well.
Overall, working on these aspects and providing a blend will make HR2 a beter experience than the last, in my opinion. If you wanna see my gameplay, here it is. Thanks for reading and possibly taking these things into consideration; you have a potentially promising game here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=516dGM8wLEI&t=3s
Unfortunately I didn't have a very good time with this one. I could see what you were going for but the method of navigation and inability to tell where I was going ruined it for me.

Hostile Regulation - 2017
Years ago before the fire, he had been summoned once again. Brought from his world to cast a dark shadow across the land. He now constantly walks the halls of his new home and abandoned by anyone who once lived in the surrounding district. This land was cut off from the public and left to rot. What is left of this place is usually known as the lost district.
The fire was a great tragedy, but three people did surprisingly survive. One of these people, John Martin, has been lured back to that abandoned school by an unknown force. John thinks he wants to go there in search of someone when in reality, something has a dark agenda for him.
