Illumination: Black Sunrise

Illumination (currently on hiatus) is an RPG about a kingdom in an alternate medieval universe where light and dark magic constantly clash. Where one day the kingdom is overthrown by the first in command, and the prince and his sister are forced to flee into exile. The world around them, a stark difference, they are forced to adapt and change as they fight against the dark forces that have the world in a cold grasp. Together with their motley crew of ragtag misfits, they journey ever onward, ever closer towards their goal. With each situation, a new friend or enemy.

NOTE: THIS GAME IS NOT PLAYABLE AT THE MOMENT. AS SUCH, IT'S STILL IN A VERY EARLY PRE-ALPHA BUILD OF THE GAME.

I plan to deviate away from the traditional way RPGs work. The main difference is that there will be no way of grinding levels (Bosses and Mini-bosses only), and items will be scarce, for the most part. All things listed below I hope lead to punishing, strategic, and frantic, yet fun gameplay unlike any rpg you've played before. Fear not! There will be saves! I have not abandoned you to die... entirely.

• A fun and engaging, yet dramatic mature story. Seriously, this story gets... disturbing at times.

• Weighted Inventory System

• Choices system

• Mini-bosses based on Choices system

• Bosses

• A wide array of party characters

• Custom battle system

• Day and Night Cycle (Possibly?)

• Puzzles

• Quests (for items, not for Experience)
