I thank you for doing what Bandai Namco won't. Creating a new JoJo game.
This looks like a really fun Jojo Game. I can't wait for the release.
While I can only speak from the perspective of previews, this game looks amazing so far. All the spritework is absolutely perfect, and from what I've seen, there's countless creative things planned for this game and it's characters. I cannot wait to actually play this for myself. Will there be original stages as well?

JJBA: Golden Generation is a 2d Jojo's Bizarre Adventure fighting game inspired by Heritage For The Future, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and other fighting games. The game is being made with the Unity engine, an engine for 2d fighting games specifically. It is worked on mainly by me, Redastrin and snuffysam, but we do sometimes receive help from the talented contributors in our community. You can see the list of contributors in our Discord server linked below.
The game features a big roster of JJBA characters, stages and bosses. The assets are mostly made by me, but we also use a lot of open source assets such as existing sprites form MUGEN that we heavily modify(they will be credited in the game). I am the main artist, designer and animator while snuffysam is the one responsible for the programming the engine.
Contributors contribute assets/art that can be used in the game. To become a contributor you can contact me in our Discord server linked below, any kind of help is extremely useful and speeds up the development process.
The game will have regular updates with new characters, stages, bosses and other mechanics. On release, version 1 will feature a roster of JJBA characters and stages from all parts and an online mode. There are also plans for story modes, which will probably come some time after the release.

When will the game come out?
We're making sure the game is good so it's going to take time. I can't be for sure but you can expect it in late 2024 the earliest.
Will it be free?
The game will be 100% free as this is just a project that we do for fun. But if you are willing to donate, you can go to my Patreon down below or ask for commissions, the donations go towards the development of the game.
How can I contribute?
If you're a highly experienced artist (preferably pixel artist) you can contact me on the game's discord.
Is there going to be an online mode?
Yes, you will be able to play this game with people and we'll do our best to implement matchmaking. We'll also host tournaments with in-game rewards.
Will the game be playable on mobile?
No, this is a PC only game.
