We welcome you to the warm, moony caves of Houston, Arizona! In a world where electricity was never discovered, citizens around the globe have come to rely on underground solar energy to power their daily overworldian lives. As everybody knows, however, that energy couldn't possibly have come from nowhere! This is where our protagonist comes in.
Introducing, the Lampchaser: an essential worker who powers the world with their farms of underground cave plants- which are then used to make solar energy.
Being a Lampchaser requires skill, time, work, and a lot of passion. You mustn't be negligent, as leaving your plants without sufficient light for long enough will leave you with nothing- and you will be right back where you started. For most, it's tedious work; but for others, it's a lifelong dream with endless opportunities.
Taking place 3 days after your 18th birthday, play as the teen moth Mot Harlow as you begin your journey solo at Lucca's Underground Farms. After leaving your unsupportive parents behind and making the long trek west to Houston, there is nothing stopping you from following your dreams and becoming the greatest lampchaser in the United States.
This game is based off of a Ludum Dare 46 game made by the experimental indie dev mega game-jam team, Team LIYAVERSE. The team consisted of 10 developers and was formed by StudioNOVEGA in the time span of 5 days.
