LISA: THE RUEFUL is a fantastical recreation of LISA: THE JOYFUL, breathing new life into the world of Olathe.

RUEFUL aims to present the story of JOYFUL in an artistic, narrative-based form that deviates from other entries in the LISA fangame scene.

As the player, you have the liberty to decide the path Buddy takes. As a young girl, the only girl, her mind is malleable. The type of person she grows up to be, or if she even gets to grow up at all, is in the player's hands.

As Buddy explores Olathe with Rando by her side, she meets a mysterious young boy with similar goals as her - to learn what it means to belong in this world.

RUEFUL is in its early stages of development and conceptualization. This page, for the foreseeable future, will be updated sparsely.

Disclaimer: LISA: The RUEFUL is not a part of official LISA canon. Marxo (NotoriousWORM) and his team, as well as RUEFUL in its entirety, are not affiliated with Austin Jorgensen / Dingaling Productions or Serenity Forge.

RUEFUL is intended to be played only after completing the original LISA trilogy, nor is it intended to be played by individuals under the age of 18.

if you're a member of stag's bazaar, please feel free to follow our progress there. i'm much better with providing updates via discord as opposed to gamejolt. i intend to get some concept artwork and basic info posted this week barring offline affairs.

the good news is that i can guarantee that my team and i will have a demo released for rueful by the summer. we are participating in stag's gamejam, and rueful is the project we are using considering the little work that has been completed for it.

it's been a while since i've updated on the status of the game. i'll be honest, i've done very little, and the little work i've done will be scrapped and reworked.

still working i promise

been away from devving for a little bit and decompressing from offline stuff. glad to see that the bits and pieces i've posted of my work so far are being received positively!
