What do you think?

ZA WARUDO!!!!!

OK so actual feedback:

Level design: 8/10 It's fun to explore the world but can be frustratingly confusing at times.
Art: 7/10: character art and animation is solid but back grounds are lacking.
Combat: 10/10 no problems, fun and no bulshit spam abilities, plenty of cool items, characters and neat enemies. Oh and throwing knives at people in stopped time feel badass. Boss fights are very fun but end fast.

Only complaint is that the game doesn't do a very good job of teaching you it's mechanics at first, or maybe i'm just stupid. (i'm probably just stupid)

25/30 Over all it's a fun game definitly worth your time.

Hello there! I decided to sign up to the site and leave my first comment because, of all the games I've tried from Game Jolt, I've enjoyed yours the most. You really captured lightning in a bottle with this idea and I can tell it. Obviously some things are a little rough being an early build of the game, but I have faith that you will see the final product is a wonderfully polished release. I can tell this game is a labor of love for the titans that came before it and defined the genre.

If I were to have any criticisms whatsoever, there's really nothing overly detrimental to the experience that I would call it needing "fixing." Just smoothing out the animation and the general feel of the game's engine will have everything looking 100%. As far as any personal suggestions or ideas. . .I don't know if you have your Magi list already completed in mind, or if you would care to add any based on one's suggestion, but (even though you've already given us two katana girls) I would love to see your take on a moveset based around an Iaido style of katana usage. It's my favorite, especially when represented in fiction in a powerful and speedy way. I am sure you could do it quite an impressive showing.

Now that I've gotten that mouthful out of the way, I just wanted to finish by saying you've done an incredible job here so far, I'm enjoying your game immensely playing it multiple times, and I sincerely hope you release it to huge success. If you ever find yourself in need of someone to beta the game's text and dialogue, by the way, I'd be more than happy to offer my services any day I'm not at work. Cheers mate! Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!

Hey so Commenting for Future updates and stuff of the sort. I messaged you over Email at least a year or two ago (don't remember specifically) but anyways off topic.

I wanted to say the game itself feels really balanced and easy to control.

With the ability to take down foes with clean precision and stopping of time it makes you feel as though you control the area around you.

I love how it shows that if you touch your opponent(like what i assume to be triangle crows) that it damages you because you touched them or how you can make it seem like an enormous attack with the mage who when time is paused has fire balls paused in time as well.

It definitely brings a Dark souls vibe and feels amazing at that. Causing you to hunt down where your souls are.

I also would like to say i love how smooth it is with certain characters when you can make one character use challenges.

The only thing i found frustrating was the fact it ended so soon. don't get me wrong a free "free roam game" is amazing even if it's a demo it brings a lot of hope to the table for it's success as a game.

I will say though if you want if i ever find a way to record again if you'd let me be honored to post videos of the game?

My channel isn't big i know but if i get the ability to support the game anyway possible i would love to.

The game where finding your way to the bosses is ten times harder than beating the actual bosses!

Lost to Time is a time-control focused 2D action platforming metroidvania game, with a carefully crafted world to explore in an non-traditional fantasy RPG fashion. In order to overcome insurmountable odds, the hero, Chrona, must manipulate the flow of time in order to gain advantages over opponents. Additionally, you will be able to discover various 'Magi' throughout the game, of which Chrona can transform into and gain different combat abilities. By changing Magi, you are able to effectively change your combat style and weapon of choice. Chrona herself is also able to learn abilities that will help you navigate the treacherous world. However, Chrona must learn to live with the consequences of her actions, and find out what her choices say about her.

Demo

There is a free demo available!

Magi

There are a total of four magi to find in the demo, each with their own unique playstyle. If you complete the demo using one of the Magi, try going through as a different one!

Bosses

There are two bosses in this demo. The demo 'ends' by defeating both of them. If you are able to actually defeat them both then I urge you to comment or send feedback to [email protected]

Time Control

Chrona is a chronokeeper, mysterious agents of time that have the ability to pause time at their will. If any obstacle seems too tough for you, always remember you can pause time with [Ctrl], effectively rendering your enemies incapacitated.

Chronokeepers are also immortal, because if they were to begin experiencing death, they would instead subconsciously rewind time to a safe place.
