Sorry for the time that’s passed since the last update! Believe it or not I have actually made a bit of progress on the game. I added a pretty large new area as well as one boss inside of that area. This area is mostly puzzle focused, but it still needs a bit of polish. What’s pictured above is a boss that uses the swords of her fallen comrades to fight…
With the “completion” of this area, I’ll say the game is about 3/8 of the size that it needs to be, with me starting to make mid level enemies / zones.
Hopefully I will complete the next zone within the next few months! The next zone will be especially big and the main mid level area and will combine lots of combat and a puzzle element.
I use “complete” very loosely, because I definitely think once I make all the areas, I need to go back and revamp / polish each zone (especially transient chapel, the first zone) before starting full-game-testing. (and that’ll be exciting). The reason it’s been going so slowly is because I find the switch to pixel-art mode and then back to programming mode and then to design mode really taxing. But the good news is for the pixel-art mode I recently acquired Asperite which makes things considerably more easier than using Photoshop!
Anyway, I want to thank everyone for reading this and of course playing the game! It’s part of the reason I keep working on it, so thanks!
