Here’s a short “devlog” and update. I didn’t think when I posted this game to gamejolt just for fun, it would get this many people playing it, or even featured. So thank you so much!
Because of that I’ve gotten a lot of feedback, and I really appreciate all of it.
I’ve tweaked some stuff these past few days, some stuff that was updated:
Added / tweaked some annoying platforms / fixed some pipes that were hard to get into
double jumping should feel better since you will keep your double jump if you jump up to a fraction of a second off an edge
Waterfalls shouldn’t infinitely stun you now
Text should be readable in most resolutions now (Though may be blurry)
And in build 14:
Greatly reduced Chrona, Astra, and Sanctus’s gravity. They should fall much slower and platforming should be significantly easier.
Reduced fall damage amount
Known Issues:
Getting stuck in walls / going through walls if travelling at high speed
Randomly moving slow for no reason
Jumping still doesn’t feel totally right
And various others….
Some people have gotten really far into the game (Some may have even beaten the two bosses, but have not commented…). What really sucks is the people who got really far but experienced a game breaking bug far into the game, sorry about that! I want to implement saving / loading soon, but if it helps, here is a map of the entire demo area (Transient Chapel):
I’m so surprised that despite all the hiccups and problems with this demo, people seem to somewhat enjoy it and are patient with all of it’s problems. So thanks for that!
I hope to start more areas / more characters / start working on the full game soon, so I will post more of these devlogs probably!
