I manage to play your game and it reminds me of classic fighting games like Street of Rage and Final Fight. It's enjoyable and easy to control, but, I have a few suggestions for the game. First, create a control menu within the main menu to include a tutor to help notify the player which buttons to control to interact with. Next, add a gameplay when two players are selected, have either the first or second player to run and jump on top of the shoulder of the first or second player's character and jump down to perform a dive kick. The last suggestion is to add more hidden weapons like a ball, trash can, mallet and magical whip. For the ball you not only toss it to enemy and bounce back to, but able to hit the ball when it bounce back to you for more hit on the enemy. But fail to catch the ball to which it sails off screen. The second item is the trash can; when lifted you can toss it at an enemy or enemies that are in the same direction as the trash can. Also, you're able to bash the enemy with the trash can about 6 times before the trash can is completely destroyed and disappears. The large mallet, when swinging, will be able to knock the enemy off screen whenever they cross the direct swinging path. It disappears when the enemy knocks you twice. The last weapon is the magical whip. It whips two fireballs that are launched towards the enemy. Also, it disappears whenever the enemy knocks you twice, to which it disappears. I hope these suggestions will help improve your game.

Just tried out the demo - overall its pretty good but i feel like this is something i've already played having grown up with games like Final Fight and Ninja Turtles. For me personally, given my experience with beat em ups, the game doesn't feel fresh or innovative to get me excited for the full release. You guys definitely have great talent though - the production quality is excellent.
