Please stop asking when the game is going to be out, I've already stated several times that I'm hoping to have a demo out by July.

Also please understand that development is slow because given the amount of games I'm working on, i'm pretty busy.

Overview

Sonic Calamity is a physics-driven 3D Sonic #fangame that combines elements and mechanics from the Classic and Adventure games, and a comic book based visual style loosely inspired by Sonic Heroes and Jet Set Radio. It is being developed in Unity with a custom framework.

The game follows Sonic and Tails as they race to retrieve the Master Emerald from Eggman and stop him from activating his newest doomsday mech, the Egg Calamity. The game is planned to feature 7 main story levels, 8 unlockable stages, 7 special stages, and a hub world that you can explore to collect emblems and rings for unlockables as well as replay levels and special stages.

Regarding Demos

Gameplay Update!

Gameplay changes

Sad news

Unfortunately Unity was having a ton of issues importing Sonic’s animations so I had to retire my custom model. The final game will use his model and animations from Generations.

Hiatus

Development is on hold for the next week or so as I am moving.

Gameplay change.... again...

Unity horribly messed up the PGDK version of the game.
It’s being moved back to Hedge Physics.
