Nice, thank you for playing it.
After watching your video I understand the confusion you are having. This game was created with the SCI0 (Sierra Creative Interpreter) engine used by Sierra in the late 80's - point and click combined with simple commands inputted into the game via the keyboard. For example, 'look at light' is a command that should generate a response from the game. To open the 'Input' dialog you just need to hit a key on the keyboard and it should open up.
For movement, you can either use the arrow keys or as you discovered you can use the left click button to move the main character to wherever you want.
Additionally, the right click button works as a 'look' command and will give you information about what is being clicked.
In hindsight, some instructions would have been helpful :)
