Pretty cool, but currently it's mostly random chance if you live or not. Because of how big you are and how slowly you descend, you frequently get stuck in situations that you can't possibly survive and that you could not possibly predict would occur. The scare button helps, sure, but it only lets you survive one of these inescapable situations every ~5 seconds, and they happen at twice that rate.
In a high-speed, precision-intensive game like this, the controls need to be tight. The only thing standing between level 1 and level 100 should be your skill, meaning that your hitbox should be small and your movements fast. The scare button would work great as an occasional accident-forgiveness button, but it shouldn't be necessary to use it to win. Fix those things, and you'll have a fun little arcade game.
Another assignment for my Prototype class. This time I chose 2 screenshots of other indie games that I have never heard before to create this game.
In this game, you are the alien trying to descend as many levels as you can while not letting the astronauts touch you. You can press SPACE to scare those astronauts on the same floor as you but there's a cool down period.
