I gave it a go, ventured into the forest and killed some zombie pigs. Lost all my hearts but at least I didn't die. :D Hope you enjoy the further development. I also like the nostalgic graphics, but would have hoped for more setting consistency with the sound choices, to create some atmosphere. The dialogue sounds very "technical"/futuristic.
It's a pity because I liked its looks, but killing four pigs doesn't feel much like an adventure

Didn't seem to be anything to it so far, but an interesting start. The camera movement is certainly designed to induce motion sickness :-)
Pity that you didn't get to add much any real content. I'm digging the blocky aesthetic. For when you continue making the game, I'd recommend looking into capturing the mouse cursor in the window. I have multiple monitors, and just turning around made my mouse leave the screen the game was running on, and that would cause me to click out of the game.

Mild Fantasy Violence
Progress is slow, but we are still working on The Climb! We added the first boss fight, and many, many polishes and bug fixes.
More progress! Tweaked the camera to be less nauseating, updated the UI, and added a sick GameJolt API integration! Our game will be supporting Trophies when it's released!
v0.1.1 Has been released. The cursor is now locked to the game window for those of you with multiple monitors or for playing in windowed mode. Also, the squonks in areas past the tutorial work and do damage.
v0.1.0 is out now but lacks any content. We had to go ahead and upload it because we wish to respect the jam's due date and cannot implement what we wanted. The bones are there to do so soon after the voting we should have a good update done.
