Absolutely wonderful, completely re-creates the feeling of the NES along with the respawning enemies.
What did you use to create that tune?
Tiny Tales 2 is a metroidvania-style platformer - on a single screen! The game was designed with retro limitations in mind and adheres to the C64 palette and a 320x200 resolution.
The idea was to have as many places, puzzles, items, secrets, etc as possible on a single screen and make it challenging despite everything being in view from the start. Besides exploring and puzzles there are enemies to fight and hidden items to find.
Instructions:
Arrow Keys to move around.
Ctrl or Z to jump.
Alt or X to use magic.
Space or C to switch magic.
Magic power will fill up over time. Pick up magic orbs to get access to new spells or increase your magic generation speed. Touch levers or hit them with magic to activate them. Doors open automatically when approached. Explore and experiment to find out how to get all three magic spells, have all seven hearts and defeat the different enemies. Can you reach the top floor and win the game?
Wow, I just released a new game! Made for the latest www.syntaxbomb.com competition, this is a reimagining of my last game Tiny Tales, this time in metroidvania-style. Still has everything on a single 320x200 pixel screen and a C64 palette. :)
