What do you think?

An amazing and unique game with an incredible atmosphere. This game also contains a lot of spooks, which are a really nice addition!

My thoughts on the game:

  • The game remained scary and entertaining all throughout my playthrough, even after about 50 minutes of playtime, and I feel like it has a lot to do with the different characters (Sorta like quests) and random generation. Outstanding job! Heck, I would most likely play it more later on.

  • I wish you could know what you get from a character before you go on doing it's little quest, as one time I had a talisman, finished a quest, and got another talisman, which made the quest completely pointless, even though it was fun! (Example in 19:34 in my video).

  • Some objects can spawn in horrible spots, such as a map clipping half way through a door, making them impossible to pick up (Example in 18:57 in my video).

  • It would be nice to have a sound when you pick up a quest item, to know you actually picked it up. (And also ensure it is viewable in your inventory, I haven't checked that myself, but it'll make it way more clear that you did pick it up).

  • The keys can sometime spawn under the "fenced generator" which makes them extremely hard to reach (Example in 13:25 in my video).

  • It's extremely difficult to pick objects up, and it's not clear what button you're supposed to press to pick objects up, as it's not written in the controls menu.

  • Some levels are unbeatable (See example in the last level of my video). If you are struggling to replicate this, I recommend adding some form of way for the players to identify the seed of the map, such as the controls menu, so you can look into the seeds that cause trouble.

  • If a talisman gets activated while the ghost is outside it's radius, and the ghost walks in, it seems as if it does not effect the ghost. Does the ghost have to be in the talisman radius during activation for it to be affected? (Example in 21:14 in my video).

  • You can pick up multiple talisman at the same time, even though they do not stack. I suggest disallowing the pickup of any extra talisman with a notification of some sort like a sound, to notify the player that they can not pick up any more talisman. Sometimes in the video I would pick up multiple talisman thinking they would somehow stack, but I would just end up wasting them.

  • I would suggest including an option to have a "Normal mode" which would go to up to 10 levels or so, and would have an ending that "finishes" it's story. That would give the players a set goal to reach, a continuation to the story, and maximum if they want to see how good they are overall, they could go on endless mode.

  • If the difficulty got harder and harder (up to a set point) the more levels you played, it would make it more interesting in my opinion.

  • There's a small black square in the sky on level 2+

Overall, I am extremely impressed and pleased with this game. It's nice seeing games like this come out. :)

I was extremely excited to see what you would come up with next time, and the wait was worth it!

Pretty creepy game..

On Floor 6 the very first door was locked on me, I used a talisman and it took me to Floor 7 - on Floor 9 I was permanently stuck, I had the key but no map, and every door was locked or boarded and there was no way to progress or get out.
