What do you do when a cryptic floppy disk arrives in the mail for a job you never applied for? Who is Henry Combs? Does he speak in prophecies or fever dreams? What does he want, and what did he lose?
Great Gold Bird, Great Dark Yawn is a first person magical realist adventure game exploring the mythologies we build around people, liminal spaces, and the uncanny.
Our story is set in Austin, TX: home of mom and pop roadside museums, extreme yard art, and “keeping it weird.” Aesthetically, we're layering textures of 2D and 3D evironments, found footage of home movies, and hand-painted watercolor cutscenes to create a surreal, dreamlike environment.

What's your most vivid memory of your childhood home?
The attic was connected to my bedroom, and I never once went up there. Probably because my dad told me they chained my twin sister up there, and fed her fish heads. Who can say?
