Actually, I thought no one would turn Undertale into Ultrakill (as you can see in my profile, my favourite games), or make Ultrakill in 2D and make it good...
BUT YOU DID BOTH.
I love this game, and I'm looking forward for next demo's (and see next weapons or Papyrus fight (maybe, we will see his special attack?))
Also, is True Lab going to be something like boss rush?

ULTRATALE (Demo)
Game Soundtrack
After erasing the world, including themselves, Frisk and Chara find themselves back in the Underground to pay for their sins, but it's not the same Underground they're familiar with...

ULTRATALE is a fangame that turns UNDERTALE into a 2D ULTRAKILL-style game. Fight your way through the Underground(?) and escape the ruins!
This project is currently a demo/early access for what I would like to eventually turn into a full game that features all locations from UNDERTALE.
This demo currently includes the entirety of the ruins (excluding Home).
This game is a solo development project. Apart from some sprites and playtesting (huge thanks to my friend PrangsterBot for this! More details in the credits section below), everything in this game was done by me, therefore bugs are to be expected. A lenient mode, for players who find the game too difficult. In lenient mode, enemy projectiles travel much slower, and you heal after clearing a room. Lenient mode can be toggled at any time by pressing [L]. Your time will not be saved if lenient mode is toggled at any point during your run

NOTES
Just some general information about the game that I think might be helpful for some:
You do NOT need to interact with save points to save your progress. Progress is saved automatically in rooms with a save point, as well as after boss rooms.
Just like ULTRAKILL, saves do not persist between sessions. If you close the game during your run, you will start from the beginning. You can think of this demo as similar to a single ULTRAKILL level.

CONTROLS
Currently the game only supports keyboard controls. Gamepad support, as well as rebindable keys, is planned for the future.
[WASD] - Move
[LMB] - Shoot
[LSHIFT] - Slide, fast-forward text
[RMB] - Parry (while sliding), flick coin (coin revolver)
Number keys or mouse wheel - Swap weapons
[SPACE] - Interact (outside of combat)
[ESC] (Hold) - Quit
[R] - Restart (on game over)
[Y] - Reload game
[L] - Toggle lenient mode

PLANNING TO ADD
This game is a lot of work to develop by myself, so continued development of the game will be dependent on the reception it receives, and if people want to see it be completed. If there is a lot of support for the game, the following is some of what I plan to add for a full release. And if there isn't, this was still a fun project that I am proud of, and I think it can stand alone as what you can consider a single ULTRATALE level.
The four main areas of UNDERTALE (Ruins (complete), Snowdin, Waterfall, and Hotland), + a secret level (True Lab), each with their own unique enemies and bosses
A level ranking system similar to ULTRAKILL
