Hey, I'm the guy who made the tumblr page you mentioned. This fan game is quite an interesting idea but maybe you should stick with the title of this article rather than using Downertale (but it does make more sense than other fan works I've seen using the name in question). It's no big deal though, use it if you want. I'm just suggesting this to prevent any confusion between the two.

This is a Undertale fangame based on what would have happened if...
WARNING! EXTREME SPOILERS BELOW TO BOTH UNDERTALE AND WHAT THIS GAME WILL BE!
The underground had an secret extra area.
All monsters were told and evacuated to that secret area. A few decades after, Insert player name here falls into Mt. Ebott like normal, but the only monster left is Flowey, who escaped from the secret area before he would have been eaten by the long-since crazy monsters.
Flowey was your best friend.
All monsters aren't able to be spared.
A neutral run would make Chara try to reach out and absorb Flowey's soul, but only if you do a aborted genocide run.
Asgore hated humans because they had caused this horrible pain.
