A minor update has been released for Unsandboxed.

Full changelog is in the article.

Changes:

  • Custom blocks with statement inputs ("Inline blocks") have been made rounder.

  • Added a secret "flash" block colors mode accessible via a URL parameter ("?back-in-time").

  • Added some secret input options for custom blocks that are only available via a URL parameter ("?miyoprocdbg1").

  • Custom blocks now change their shape to Objects/Arrays, when applicable.

  • Text inputs are now square by default. The addon that did this before has been removed.

    • We intend on allowing users to change this in the future via a setting.

  • As a consequence of my testing for an upcoming feature, the font for bold text in the "Customizable block text style" addon is Verdana.

  • Custom hat blocks now show that they're a hat block in their definition.

Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where the backpack and costume serializer weren't working properly

  • Extension blocks with argument reporters no longer create two blocks when dragged a certain way

  • Number editors in custom blocks are now serialized correctly after an update broke them.

  • "Submarine blocks" are no more as a consequence of our renderer changes for inline blocks.

  • Fixed extension block colors from failing to load in the VM.

  • The "break" icon is now the same size as the "continue" and "repeat" icons. It's now also available in high contrast.

In Portuguese, the translators decided that uppercasing all of the hat blocks would be their sin of the day.

Let's play a game! Which one of these was rendered in Scratch 4.0 and which one was rendered in Unsandboxed?

The Scratch Team has just recently updated their Terms of Service yesterday, letting you know they now have full permission to use your content to train AI models.

In case you need your heart broken, there's evidence to suggest Scratch Team were seriously considering allowing blocks to placed inside of variable dropdowns.

Evidently, that fell through. Something didn't work.
