A Possible Revamp to the Game.

Intro

Hello peoples. Sorry for not updating on the game for quite a while.

College was kicking me in the rear. And I was afraid of how to even program the resizable areas you fight in.

This is when I found this neat thing.

It's an Undertale engine made in Unity!

It should make development a bit easier due to LUA programming in the encounters! However, it presents a bit of an interesting choice.

The Ultimatum

There's an interesting choice I can make in terms of the game:

  1. Restart development of the game on this engine. I would have to relearn Unity and C# for the overworld sections, but battle programming would be much easier.

  2. Continue on with the development of the game in Godot, but I would have have a longer time getting battles set up. (Might take some notes from Create Your Frisk)

Conclusion

I am going to try to develop a full battle in Create Your Frisk and try to do some funky Overworld stuff if my computer plays nice with unity.

From there, I will post my progress.

Hope you have a shiny day!

Next up

Heya! I am back on developing this sonic fangame now, and I actually have something to show for it (early prototype stuff shown above). It is officially undiscontinued. Progress will still be slow of course, but I feel I will have a lot of fun making it.

Part 3 of Mandelarune

Small Update Regarding the Development of Noelle's Repentance

Been working on a 1st person dungeon-crawler RPG thingy themed around pokemon (2/3) This is the prototype for the battle system. VERY WIP. I got selection working. So that's cool!

Been working on a 1st person dungeon-crawler RPG thingy themed around pokemon (3/3) These are some concept arts! The stuff besides the first one are REALLY old. Have been having this in mind for a while.

Been working on a Undertale framework for Godot. So far I am working on a clamping system so the soul thingy stays in the box.

Nevermind, lol.

Unitale is great and all, but you need Unity to do the overworld, and my computer can't run the Unity Editor :/

Anyways here's a video of me testing the box collision. I fixed the glitch in this video shortly after.

YOOOOO! This should be pretty useful to use!

If I get my college work done, I'll see what I could do about implementing this in the fangame.
