Happy weekend, adventurers!
It's been out for over a year now, and after multiple smaller (but still sometimes big) content updates/patches... Dragon Dreams: A Taste of Adventure goes "HD"!
I always enjoyed the minimalistic colour style I had before, with its vibrant appearance (so I'm keeping the latest version of that one public too, v1.5.3. It won't be updated though unfortunately.), but I wondered what the game would be like if fully coloured, closer to maybe a SNES game... And here is the result of that! I'm super happy with how it looks, and while I might miss the original style, I think this is overall much more pleasing, and will allow areas to stand out more, and be more memorable. Especially in the main game that I hope to finish some day, as it will have a larger variety of locations.
Anyway, 1.6.0 is now available, bringing this "HD" upgrade, as well as other smaller changes and fixes, including a new modifier "Corrupted", simulating a corrupted game rom or something! (Inspired by Vinesauce)
Full patch notes are below if you want to see all the changes in this update.
Game on, folks!

Additions:
- ADDED NEW OPTION: Low HP Beep (Turns on/off audio beeping when at low health)
- ADDED NEW MODIFIER: Corrupted (Simulates the effects of a corrupted game, glitching graphics, audio, gameplay)
- Added "LOADING" notification after intro text, as load times have increased.
- Added some extra minor decorative objects.
- Added smoke effect when you dash, as seen in later game(s).
Changes:
- Improved main menu navigation.
- Clarified Walking Armory feat description.
- Added pitch variance to some sound effects.
- Improved the way lighting works with fires. They are now flickery, and correctly light and extinguish!
- You now talk to the shop NPCs from their front, not below them.
- Removed the big rock in 4-1 blocking the chest. Didn't need to be blocked THAT much.
- Stopped stone basin fires from causing damage. They are purely for lighting.
Fixes:
- Added missing interactions between Fireball explosion and some stone basin fires.
- Stopped inactive Mimics from disappearing momentarily when you leave a screen, spoiling their identity!
