We’ve been busy working on In the Keeper’s Shadow, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t taken some time to play a game or two as well!
Unsurprisingly, indie games seem to be especially popular with the team these days. Josh said he’s been playing games like To the Moon, Hellblade, Witcher 3, and Life is Strange. Catherine announced that she was (once again) playing Pyre, but she’s also been playing a lot of Jackbox and has been meaning to get back to learning how to speedrun Dandara again. (She also recently played What Remains of Edith Finch on our first studio gaming stream.)
Sarah said she’s been trying out The Sexy Brutale lately. “It’s not sexy,” she said. “Spoilers.” Dan has been playing a lot of BeamNG Drive, which he said is “relaxing and doesn’t involve killing people or things,” and Chelsea just finished playing Final Fantasy IX, which “gets to [her] kokoro every time.”
Jessica and Mark both haven’t had as much time to commit to a new single player game, but they’ve been playing a lot of co-op games instead. Some of the ones Jessica mentioned were Beat Saber, Cuphead, and some of the Lego games. However, she also said she’s mostly been playing a lot of games with their puppy Stella. “There’s Dance Off, where Stella does a number of tricks like shake, spin, [and] pounce to see who she listens to better. That’s usually a morning routine since we have music play while we make breakfast.” Other games they’ve been playing with her include fetch, in which they use multiple dog toys “to have her run in all different directions around the house,” and Hide and Go Seek.
