As a really quick progress update:
-The new character is a few moves away from being functional (Regen Song for sure is operational)
-Fixed an issue with Dummy being replaced with a far less durable Bouncepot
Next up
This whole "making a new battle frame" situation does give me an excuse to add some things I had been putting off for far too long.
I think I know what needs to be done to shake up XL's next public appearance...
