After shelving this project several months ago due to other commitments and an inability to actually work on it, I have decided to come back to Ix with renewed vigour to get it completed.
Changes that have gone in already:
Some smaller systems have been rewritten (thanks to work on other projects that allowed me to come up with better solutions), and others have seen tweaks to make them better.
A new save/load system is in place, and the controls have had an overhaul.
Player controls can be changed, and graphics resolutions can be selected (neither of these were previously possible).
Things that are still on the list before this can fully be released:
The final boss still needs to be created.
SFX need to be added (there are very few in at the moment).
Adjustments to the player and enemy balancing is looming.
Adding back in the text system to display information during the game.
I am sure more things will come along as I continue to progress with working on Ix, but at least now I have a better feeling about how to get this over the finish line.
