Pocket Fighter EX

Been doing HEAVY work on Pocket Fighter EX today. Programming more save state configurations for components that don't have them yet. Almost every component needs to interface with the save state system! Still a lot to go, but we're getting there!

On the off chance that the new #KOFXV character was Kasumi, I colored her KOFR2 sprite. That wasn't the case, but I figured I would share it anyway. #NGPC #KOF #NeoGeo

Project(s) & Health Update

I'm alive! I have been resting a lot after the brutal game jam crunch... We didn't make the deadline, but the team is very invested and determined, so we'll finish the demo-

Been going 200%, but I have so much left to do to make the one month Fighting Game Game-Jam deadline...

Would it be interesting if I participated in this Game Jam? "Starting March 31, 2026 and ending May 1 2026, you have one month to make a fighting game." https://itch.io/jam/fighting-game-versus-jam-2026 I would be using Unreal Engine, with a small team of friends.

I failed to make the FGC GameJam deadline but I am VERY proud the work the team did. We have decided to finish the demo anyway, after some rest 😵‍💫

3 years before Pocket Fighter EX I made a sprite of Kazuya in Pocket style. I touched it up just a little bit for this post.

I revived my childhood NES controller, with the (Nintendo Power?) decal still on it. Affordable 25$ 8bitdo reversible wireless mod. Works great, no lag.

Managed to figure out how to apply palettes to low color sprites in #UnrealEngine5. The flashing ones are randomizing their palettes every frame.

Still working on an easy to edit palette data system, but it works!!

It's Sakura's birthday??

I did this one for fun a few years back. #streetfighter #sakura #pixelart #NeoGeoPocket

More Game Jam progress. I had to remake the basic 2D alignment system cause I did it wrong... It's a bit more complex than it seems, since it is made for 2.5D. I can now easily add lock-on, and other location based features. #gamedev
