Beta Testing Round 2 and New Features!

We’ve been working very hard fixing all the issues that our testers have found so far. We noticed that some of them struggled with a couple of our puzzles so we’ve been busy implementing… riddle difficulty!

You can now choose between easy/normal difficulty. Easy will offer a few extra hints for some of our most difficult puzzles to help players come to the solution.

In the options you can now also choose from lower resolutions that your monitor doesn’t support which means Simulacrum can now support a wider range of PC hardware since lowering the resolution greatly increases performance, especially on less powerful machines. (However, if you are looking for a more retro experience, we suggest lowering the resolution to around 896x504, disabling anti-aliasing and using single v-sync.)

We also very happy to announce a second batch of beta testers will be testing the game to make sure these new features work as expected.

We’ve added a small handful of things, made a couple of changes but overall (fingers crossed) Simulacrum is more stable, more polished and edging closer to a release.
