Burnout Build (V 0.6.5) is live!

(Also I'm taking a break from this.)

Hey.

Got enough fixes (and some new content) to warrant a new update.

New content:

Battle:

-3 new characters can be added to the party: Phantom BB, Withered Bonnie, and Endoplush!

-5 new skills can be used: Toxic Balloon, Gloom Balloon, Eye Beam, Unscrew 2, and Waterhose 2!

(Almost all of them have been added to Prize Ball 2's skill pool.)

-3 new bosses now block your way: Bouncer, Seagoon, and Eyesore!

-To compliment the new bosses, 1 skill is now in their toolset: Jumpscare

(Tried adding some others, but that end of things is too broken for me to handle right now.)

-When using either Prize Ball or Prize Ball 2, there is a low chance that instead of the usual skill pool, the ball will instead cast the super rare Plush Storm skill!

-Skill descriptions now feature at the bottom of the Battle frame

Overworld:

-Auto: Giftboxes is now (properly) available

-The map (and player tracker) are now available! Hold tab to use.

(And yes, you can move around the map and collide with items while viewing the map.)

-Finished setting up the framework for Pinwheel Circus and Deep Metal Mine. In technicality, the original overworld is complete!

-Added large stumps

Title Screen:

-Added additional selection borders and text to better explain how to configure a new game

Dee Dee's Fishing Hole:

-Added a new feature! Occasionally, a giftbox will be floating near the bottom of the screen. Pick it up for a special surprise!

In the case of the current build, someone has stuffed them full of XP.

Fixes:

Battle:

-Restructured attack function of enemies

-Rebuilt Challenger encounter formula to better replicate the original game's character-to-zone ratio

(May still adjust values as needed.)

-Rebuilt XP/Level transfer

-Rebuilt structure for deaths/revivals to be more consistent

-Fixed an issue where Jumpscares cast by Prize Ball wouldn't add the full amount

-Fixed Esc Key.

-Fixed an issue where the "RUN!" text wouldn't display when it should be

-Fixed an issue with Crying Child using the wrong setup values

-Increased the attack speed of Endo Army

Overworld:

-Find: Chips has been moved to the overworld!

(Wonder where I put it?)

-Put Headstart: Speed chip and Lolbit's second shop into their proper place on the map

-Moved some spawn positions for token chests

Party select:

-Updated the debug/cheat selection for the new system

-Might have fixed an issue with the original starter party disappearing

(So far it has only happened to me once, still figuring out what is causing it.)

-Fixed some name text not properly showing up

Loading Screen:

-Adjusted display so it won't show characters that are unobtainable in the current build

Removed Content:

-Removed Billy O'hare and Stinkbomb from regular gameplay

And that's about it.

Gonna be honest, I am just about burnt out on the notion of doing more work on the game right now, so I'll be taking a break from doing any fixes/updates. I have hit my limit.

Not quite the fix I've been talking about for the past few weeks, but it's at least progress.

Still need to move it over to the proper drive once other important IRL events are over, but...

Suppose it was about time that some of these skills got a little extra kick.

Guess I did a terrible job advertising the items most crucial to this recent update.

(At least it's good to know people can find all of the discs without any extra hints on my part.)

I was considering doing a proper teaser for this, but honestly it might just be better to save the effort for when I work on the real Update 3.

In the mean time, enjoy this low quality preview.

Good news: The files are now safe at home.

Bad news: Gonna be two days until the necessary enclosure comes in so I can access the data.

...and even more backup funds I have spent just to get back to where I was.

Pain.
