Current changes


IMPORTANT: PLEASE CHECK OUT THIS UPDATE BEFORE LEAVING COMMENTS ON THE GAME REGARDING BUGS AND ISSUES.

As of late I’ve been keeping some comments in mind regarding bugs and issues so some of not most of the issues will be fixed for the SAGE release.

Current changes (alpha build will not be updated until SAGE):

  • Homing attack animation no longer plays after Sonic rolls into an enemy

  • Sonic no longer loses all his rings instantly when attempting to boost midair

  • Sonic is now centered on the path leading down the lighthouse

  • Main menu has changed; all buttons are active and it is clear which button is selected. Menus cannot be interacted with via mouse, you must use a keyboard or controller.

  • New ring effect; when Sonic collects rings they now fly into the HUD much like in Sonic Unleashed

  • Tails is now in the game

As far as the SAGE 2018 demo goes, it will unfortunately just have Sapphire Shores. The stage is about 60% complete as far as building it goes (unsure of where it stands regarding props and environmental decoration) and the end of the stage is set so more or less all I have to do in terms of designing it is bridge the whale segment to the end of the stage and add in the second path you enter by not dash drifting on the pier.

SONIC CALAMITY CAST ANNOUNCEMENT----------

After months of writing and putting this all together, I am proud to announce Calamity's voice cast.

Sonic Calamity updates: moved to Unity HDRP for better visuals, and it's going to be built with its own engine, Calamity Engine.

SAGE Update The SAGE demo is complete! It is building as I am typing this, after which I will be submitting it to the SFGHQ showcase. The demo will also be available here, but I will not be uploading it until SAGE starts on August 25th.
