Humble Cafe! Solo Test

---------------

Buildings

Ingredients Shop – Buy ingredients to make food and drinks.

Furniture Shop – Buy furniture; small timers for items to be built, then bring them back to your café.

Library – Learn new ingredients.

Tool Shop (maybe part of the Furniture Shop) – Buy new machines like coffee makers, ovens, etc.

Expansion/Construction Office – Spend money to expand your café. Takes a few in-game days to be built, with visible building stages and workers.

Clothing/Decor Shop – Buy new clothes and décor for further customization.

---

Starting Café

Small 4-wide counter:

1 tile for register

1 empty space

1 microwave

1 kettle

Go to each thing: register to serve, kettle for coffee/tea, etc.

Start with no furniture or chairs, just two packed boxes with a single chair and table inside.

Upstairs: simple room with a bed, small table, and light.

---

Extra Features

Sleep is not required, but if skipped for 1 in-game day (≈24 minutes), the player becomes tired → slower production and serving.

Day/night cycle affects town and café flow.

Animated trees for environmental detail.

Made the very first test of a possible cafe NPC system,

Works using pythagoras theorem to calculate the distance between the circle "NPC" and the cashier register being the rectangle, then decreases distance until 0. basic but works for now.

Flowers! Been messing with Tiled Layers :)

HUGE update released today!

Introducing:

-the start of build mode by pressing B when in the cafe or second floor

-Player Animations -Connecting Tables and Counters -Queueing NPCs -Money System basic -Outside world! ( Temporary map) -Esc Menu + tempMusic

Update for todays work,

Implemented a system using a simple table of 3 options,

-Coffee

-Cake

-Croissant You select the one so that you can serve the NPC with enter then it resets and does it over again.

Additionally made my own font. :)

Updated textures! Actually looks like something now

I have been busy at work!

Moving to a set pallete and using asesprite for pixel art I have begun updating all textures and new player sprites and animations. :D

In this update, I made my own collision system using collision system to detect whether or not the player is allowed to move incase they will overlap one of the rectangles. (Hitboxes are shown in debug mode by holding shift and tab) +Dynamic Draw Order

art comission.

We are under attack!
