Dark Cell: Remastered - Dev diary #1

Greetings,

recently I wrote about publishing a remastered version of Dark Cell with new features, bug fixes and other cool stuff. I decided to start a Dev diary to write a bit about my progress.

First of all, Remastered version will have one visually noticeable update: you will no longer be able to see almost the entire environment around the character. In other words: the character view is now zoomed-in, creating a scarier and tenser atmosphere than before. The character sprite was also changed, along with a new animation. Here is a screenshot to give you a clearer picture of what I’m trying to describe:

(note: right-click on the image and choose “View image” to view it in 1920x1080 resolution)

I also started polishing the story. There will be a different intro with real-time cutscenes which will explain the backstory of the main character and the environment.

I’ll post further progress next week :)

This Halloween... Greetings, besides college and working on ‘Dark Cell: Remastered’ there is another project I’m cooking up. Here is a quick teaser :)

This Satuday we invite to watch another #speedpainting of our artist Daniel Faiad.
