Dark Cell: Remastered - Dev diary #5

Greetings,

last week consisted mainly of finishing up main features that will come in 1.1 version, including the intro scenes which are now completed and changing the overall look of levels and reworking some puzzles. There are still some things left to do:

  • design a new menu

  • add some more objects

  • add secret levels

  • add trophies

These are the main things I have left to do before the Remastered version is finished. After that, I will work on polishing the new version, giving it to some of my friends to test it and possibly make some minor improvements and fixes if needed. The GameJolt game page will also get a fresh look with new screenshots, videos etc.

I did some brainstorming about possible trophies in the game. I came up with at least 12 but that number will probably double up until Remastered version is out.

Sadly, game development will slow down because of two reasons. First, I ran into a problem a few days ago regarding the game’s lightning system. Fixing this bug is top priority now. Second, college is starting next week which will affect my free time.

The release date is still TBA, but I will keep writing updates on development progress.

This Halloween... Greetings, besides college and working on ‘Dark Cell: Remastered’ there is another project I’m cooking up. Here is a quick teaser :)

Just as Pecaminosa's musicians #improvise this rendition of #LittleSunflower 🌻, so do we improvise with this post you're reading. 😂

What's coming out of your own improvs? 🤔

Path of Kami: The Evolution of the Lore

Finished a project I've been working on over the last few days!

Modeled and textured in Blender.

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

The whole squad is here!

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
