Hello boys and girls;

Here’s the first version of the demo, it is still alpha so expect things not to work properly or not to work at all, as loads of features have not yet been implemented.

I’ve been studying for more efficient ways to keep building stuff, so that means that I can easier update the demo when stuff works without having to release the full game content. Hey this is not Crash Bandicoot :P

• First of all I have an issue tracker on GitHub, if you find a bug, feel free to report it on there, but please check if the bug isn’t already on there. If it is, it means I know about it :P

• Expect some rebalancing over time, this can mean that the heroes may become stronger or weaker in several new versions. Same goes for the enemies.

• Some abilities the heroes (and enemies) can learn may have some extra effects not scripted yet. That basically means that these effects will be ignored.

• The same goes for some animations on this department.

• None of the characters is able to get all spells or skills or whatchamacallit. It is for the time being technically impossible and some some of them are not even listed yet, so do even try it yet.

• What do the Black Orbs do? You will find out if you can collect them all, but you may have guessed you’ll need the full version for that.

• The demo contains all personal prologues so you can get to know each character, once you played them all in random order the “true game” begins. In the true game you will only have Jake and Marrilona. Dandor and Hando Stillor will in the demo only be available in their respective prologues. I can already reveal as soon as you enter the first non-demo-dungeon, Hando Stillor will immediately join Jake and Marrilona and stay with them for the remainder of the game. That dungeon is the Elfish Road. You can already enter that road, but I placed a barrier in that place and Hando Stillor will only join you once you are past that barrier, and that barrier will only be removed by installing the full game once it’s done. Sorry!

• A few interface features may not fully work yet. I am working on that.

• Until the game is declared “Stable” EVERYTHING is basically subject to change. Maybe you can already see what is likely to be changed and what not, but hereby you know.

Oh yeah, and one disclaimer, due to a lot of nonsensical outrage over the internet these days. Hando Stillor’s accent was done on purpose and completely of my own design and not based on any existing English accent. Any resemblance to existing English accents is 100% coincidental. It’s very extremely sad I have to note that, but due to a lot of whining I read about some existing material these days, I want the whiners to shut up before they even opened their mouths :P

The Fairy Elder’s accent is (of course) pseudo-ancient-English. I just wanted him to sound VERY EXTREMELY OLD. And that’s all there’s to it.

Of course you need to realise none of us has English for his/her native language, so we did the best we could :P
