Dev Day 2 - Part 2

Ah, 3 AM, my friend. You return.

And so ends day 2. I’m cutting it a liiiiittle bit closer on some systems than I’d like, but I think I can get something at least halfway decent out in time :)

First off - Particles!!

I wasn’t going to add these at first, but I feel like they just keep things from being too bland. Resources were just sort of…. Vanishing before, and that didn’t look all that great.

Next - I did manage to get pretty much 99% of the UI and NPCs done!

There’s a right-click menu used to tell your people what you’d like them to do. The inventory is keyboard based - you have an 8 slot hotbar which you can use the number keys to access.

Finally, I finished the building system. All that’s left on that is to add more things to actually build, as well as the crafting system.

So! To-do tomorrow, before time is up:

  • Finish up NPCs (a new sprite, for sure)

  • Add more buildings

  • Implement enemies

Goodnight for now!

Dev Day 3 - Wrapping up, and thoughts

How great is this scene of #Pecaminosa?

So

i may or may not make an full art of some person or i may just leave this like that-

Bandana Dee the Dream Friend

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Finished work on the emotions of a new character for the tank universe

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

Spaaaace~

These are background sprites I've created for a game I'm working on at school ^w^ Click on the post to see how the sprites connect. You won't regret it! (personally, I think it's pretty heheh)

Drawn in Piskel using my mouse. Whaddya think?

Today I tackled drawing different variations of facial expressions for one of the main characters in Eden. What do you think of it? :) Eden: https://gamejolt.com/games/Eden/592698
