It feels like it's been FOREVER since I've made a Devlog!
Hell, it feels like it's been forever since I've been on GameJolt even!
Now then, to those of you who remember Pikmin Garden and the original Zenand Garden, you might remember me being some idiot kid who couldn't program, and who also didn't have a single real game under his belt.
That has since changed! Yesterday, I showed off my first actual game, that was fully programmed by myself (No tutorials or anything), and made in the Godot Engine, at SkillsUSA Maine!
The game itself wasn't anything to write home about, since due to issues with my group, and the project manager/director disappearing a week before the deadline, I speed-ran development, making the whole game in 2 days.
As such, I don't plan to release it, at least, not in it's current state. I do plan to work on it some more, but that's for the future (I'm quite burnt out on it XD)
##Anyways! Onto the stuff you care about!
Zenand Garden: Factory Fresh is being made in the Godot game engine, which I'm now quite confident with.
Anyways, my plan for this game is to make what I wanted Zenand Garden to be, since I'm now able to program, meaning I can get a LOT closer to my vision than I could with GDevelop or Construct 2. Hell, in theory, I can now get it identical to my vision!
If you haven't played Pikmin/Zenand Garden before, don't worry, that game won't be required to enjoy this one. This is a complete redo of it.
I say redo, because I'm starting from just the core ideas and concepts. I'm not referencing the original at all, and I'm not going to intentionally reuse assets from it, in fact, I can't because I actually lost the files. The other reason being, I just don't want to.
Anyways, that's all for this devlog! I hope to make some progress soon!
