Hello everybody!
Here's the first development log for my new game Hollowborn, which is so good to say after all this time of staying quiet and keeping the game on the down-low since I don't want to spoil too much before the game is released.
Release Troubles
Speaking of released, there was a demo which was supposed to come out recently but I decided to delay it since there is still so much to do and I had underestimated how long some systems would take to be put in places such as the shop and hub world. But I'm hoping the game will be released around December If I play my cards right and get everything done and playing nicely together.
What Is Hollowborn?
This new game I've been working on has been in the works for about 4 to 5 months now and brings a lot to the table from my first game Riverwood. This includes a hub world, weapon and item shop, large semi-open world, and loads more which I'm very excited to hopefully show all of you when I release it SOON™!
What about Riverwood 2?
Sadly Riverwood 2 has been put on the shelf as working on the game was tough and during development, I felt forced to do things a certain way or force enemies or weapons which weren't fun. But ultimately I decided to say f-it and start over with a new project which gave me so much creative freedom and a chance to do cool things which I'm very proud of.
Future Plans For The Demo!
Currently, Hollowborn is being developed solo and may take some time before it becomes a completed product, I'm still aiming for a small demo for December, but if the demo isn't up to some standards it won't be released because I know If I wouldn't play it then no one would so If the demo gets delayed you'll know why.
Until Next Time!
Thank you all for reading the first development log for Hollowborn it means a lot, and be sure to check out the Gamejolt page and my Twitter for updates and teasers!
