What do you think?

While the wine application on linux can play this game which is indeed good, I think you could maybe find a solution for linux

I want to start this off by saying two things:
#1. Don't take any of this as an attack, I ligitimatly want to help give some constructive criticism because this game has some potential!
&
#2. I only played the first level so far so some of this might be a bit off but I have some things I want to say. (I will update this if I come across any more BIG ones when I finish the demo)

Alright first off solid aesthetics and art, the little voice over at the beginning is pretty cool and the animations I have seen so far (Like the shotgun shot animation) are pretty solid, but I do grievances both big and Minuscule:

#1. Starting with the bigger ones I would suggest later versions to have customizable controls as it is a MUST for some people, I don't normally change too much but I know all to well that just because it's a control scheme that you like does not mean it's one everyone will like and bad controls can make a good game unplayable!

#2. Sticking with control stuff, I would say it would be a good idea to show the controls to the player.
Either through some sort of optional "How to play" mode, some sort of png on the loading screen or tooltips showing on screen mid game for at least the first level

#3. Enemy reactions are a must!
It does not only make a shot feel more powerful and rewarding it also helps indicate that you are in fact doing damage! (kind of important XD)
It can be a little jitter/Jolt in the animations, a full blow flinch or just a scream of pain, you just NEED to have at least one of them!
(Preferably a SFX and animation indicator though)

#4. Now onto smaller Nitpicks,
When I went to quit the game the menu disappears first and it counts the click to leave as the shoot so right before the game closes it makes you shoot which I assumed that was a mistake/bug
(I did say these were Nitpicks)

#5. A way to skip cinematics like the intro one, this might just have been because I did not know the right key but I tried most of em and could not find one!
Also if you were to add one I would say make it a "Hold X button for X amount of time" with some sort of indicator on the screen so you know (Like something in the bottom left/right that appears when you press a button)

#6. This might be another ME problem, but when I boot the game even if it's in full-screen mode it shows the resolution as being something like 600x600 (When it was clearly running at 720p) It would go to the right Resolution if I change the setting I just found that as a bit odd

Again I am sorry if this comes across as being an Ass but I swear to heck and back I am only trying to help where I can because this game looks cool!

Very cool game. I made a video on it: https://youtu.be/1DlojkFlx2A

I liked it so much!!!

Damn keep up the good work!

Nice stuff

Summary

Hollowborn is a quake like fps which takes influences from my previous game Riverwood and enhances it to another level of design, gameplay and more!

Welcome to the underworld

Where evil monsters roam and dimensions that lead right to them, welcome to a new world of damnation. As you explore this world, you will find more dangerous enemies but, with the help of your weapons, you can stop anything that dare gets in your way.
