Hello once again Toons of the world, it's time for another- hopefully more fulfilling- Corporate Crush development update!
First, thank you all so much for the support with the release of the concept demo just over two weeks ago. It means the world to me that so many people enjoyed this silly little project of mine, and seeing your comments here on GameJolt and in the official Corporate Clash Discord server has pushed me to make this game bigger and better!
As an overview, so far the following features have been added or updated:
**The player is you!** Thanks to Discord user amalsoappickle, you may now choose your own name, preferred pronouns, and race/species when starting the game for the first time.
Plutocrat's Route, including the introduction, Mozzarella Styx, and a special side quest has been implemented for testing.
Duck Shuffler's second encounter has been started, though is still very early in development.
Planning has started for the Completion Ending, alongside several new renders.
The Treekiller, Plutocrat, and a Skelecog Waiter have been imported and rigged... Somewhat.
By this point a lot of you are likely confused over the title of this log. What does any of this have to do with shoulders?! Well, do you all remember that strange image of the Chainsaw Consultant from the previous Devlog?
This bug was present on all of the cog models I rigged, especially on the Plutocrat and Chainsaw Consultant. This brought development on Suit C and Suit A cogs to a halt respectively. I'm happy to announce that, as of like five minute ago...
The cogs have shoulders!
With this fixed, and more free time on my hands, this should make the cogs look more true-to-game. This does come with a price, however.
...I now have to redo every single Cog render in the game. Yes, all of them. No, I cannot cheat.
I might redo the fingers on some rigs due to strange bugs, such as with the Suit A and Suit B cogs' pinkie fingers, though this is a much lower priority in comparison to, y'know, redoing every pose for every cog currently added.
Well all, I have work to do. I'll see you all in the next DevLog- whenever that is- so Stay Toon'd and again, thank you for your support.
