Hello! We are reposting this devlog as it and others were deleted during the recent hacking and we know some may have been unable to view it before that event.
First things first, regarding the demo of Colossus!Fell- The Flooded Temples. Being completely honest, team and server activity has been very down, and as such, has made it a bit hard for things to get done properly. Seeing as how the entirety of the Flooded Temples is so large, we have decided to take smaller steps so as to make things easier on us and you.
Our hope is that we will have a Mini-Demo out at some time in December.
What will that entail? The Mini-Demo would include the first 13 rooms of the Flooded Temples, a mini-boss, multiple puzzles, and a good amount of fun shenanigans. Plus! Flowey content! We all love Flowey content.
Alright! With that out of the way, time to move on to other things. Throughout the last couple of weeks, we have been working to finalize scripts and assets, replace or update outdated assets, and truly figuring out exactly what we want to happen in this mini-demo. Here are some of the things we’ve been working on:
Flowey’s battle sprite! For those who saw the battle sprite, you may remember some shaded versions of the sprite that we were planning to include as a separate in-game setting. However, after some feedback from our coder, Soup, we have decided to remain with the normal Undertale-style sprites.
A little look at the Flooded Temples! While two of the rooms are shown at the top of the page, we feel this room does a great job of properly showcasing what you can expect from these temples.
For those that didn’t already notice, our Gamejolt header was revamped! It needed to be replaced, what with the changes made to Toriel and Flowey’s design. Big thanks to Victor for an awesome header.
And while we can’t quite show them off yet, Axm has been working on the intro slides, and let me tell you guys, you’re in for a treat. They look fantastic.
Once again, we would like to apologize to anyone inconvenienced or compromised by the recent hacking. As stated, we've taken measures to ensure it never happens again.
And for those curious, yes, the TC!Underfell community was taken down by the hacker. We apologize.
And that’s all for today! Ideally, we’ll have one or two more devlogs before we release the mini-demo.
