Devlog - April 9th 2023


More development of the settings/options menu asset

This week’s focus was on getting as much done as possible of the options/settings menu asset. 

Things did go fairly well and I’m getting closer to the completion of the core functionalities. Despite things going well this week I haven’t been able to finish the visuals part - again :( I definitely underestimated the amount of time required to get everything working how I would like it to. Certain things I needed to do were also not apparent to me when I did the planning of the asset. I could have prioritized the visuals to be able to showcase it sooner but with the amount of roadblocks I hit during the creation of the asset so far I definitely want all the technical parts in the bag before taking on all the visuals. I believe this is the better approach as it avoids potentially having to redo visuals if another roadblock comes around.
