Hi everyone, hope you're all having a wonderful day! We got another devlog here, and we're really excited to show off our progress
2.5k views!!
Thank you guys so much for 2.5k views! We appreciate every bit of support, and it's amazing to see that a lot of new people have joined us since last time. We're doing really well on YouTube and Twitter/X too, thank you so much for that! If you haven't already, you can subscribe to our YouTube channel for OSTs and trailers, and you can follow our Twitter/X account for updates on the game. You can find the links to our socials in our description
Art
Art-wise, not much has changed. We still have plenty of art to work with, but our artists are nevertheless still busy working on the assets we'll need in the future
Music
We have a new track in the OST! As you might have guessed, it's for the settings menu. It's still a banger tho, so if you haven't already I'd recommend listening to it either on our YouTube channel or on here!
Programming
We've made the most progress on the programming department! The basics like saving, loading, movement, interacting, etc. are in place, so now we can just expand upon our current work. In the attached video you can check out some of these features
We have more rooms ready, but we can't showcase them yet as that'd spoil too much of the game
Also, if you couldn't tell already, the flavor text for the first save point is just some bizarre placeholder text meant for testing, and it isn't part of this adventure. Meaning it'll be changed soon
Clearing things up about Flowey
I've noticed a lot of people wondering what Flowey's role in our game will be, and how Flowey existing in our game would work as part of the Undertale canon.
As you guys might know, everything in our game is still subject to change, including our story.
Keeping that in mind, we've decided to scrap Flowey from the game. This decision was not a recent one however; we've already decided that he wouldn't fit in our game before my previous devlog in June. We just thought this would be a good opportunity to communicate this over to you all.
As for the sprite and the song associated with Flowey, you'll find out in due time what we'll do with them
