Hello everyone! ^^
This time we bring to you... a Mini-Devlog?
Well! In any case, this is a Special Vlog.
During these last two months we have received a lot of comments where we've seen that some people think that our storyline and canon is the same as Deltarune...
And it's all the contrary!
If someone doesn't know, Skullrune is an...
What does this mean?
That there are many differences with Deltarune! :D
So now we're gonna talk about the distinctive elements between both games.
And don't worry!
There will be no spoilers of the main story.
The first difference is that the Darkners are not inanimate objects. They are instead just another race; like humans and monsters.
And why is this?
Because Dark Fountains work differently!
In Skullrune, a Dark Fountain works like a teleporter.
There is the Light World (Surface) and the Dark World (The Depths)
This is an image where you can see what we mean:
The Dark World would work like the Underground in Undertale.
It's a tangible place that exists under the Earth.
Therefore, the Dark Wolrd doesn't exist because of the Dark Fountains.
It's totally independent.
Now we are going to talk about other points more quickly.
There is no Player.
No Angel.
No Knight.
No Roaring.
During Skullgrave, Kris is a bad person.
There is no player controlling the character.
And the Deltarune does also exist! But its story and origin are totally different.
The DELTARUNE is the most searched object across the 7 seas!
Yes, it is basically the One Piece xD
But why are they looking for it? What is the DELTARUNE?
That... will be find out in the demo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There are a lot more differences, but we have also kept some similarities, adapting concepts so they can fit in with our own new lore.
We have also taken many creative liberties, but always with the objective of pointing out that Skullrune is an Alternative Universe.
And that would be all from us!
We already talked about what's more important.
You'll have to find out the rest of things in the demo and the final game. ^^
Don't forget that we're doing a Cover Contest!

We hope this Special Vlog has cleared some of your questions! In any case, we are always available in the comments to answer you.
See you this October 28th on the new Devlog! ^^
