It's here! After 9 months of waiting... it's finally here!

After surfacing from Smurfblum's underwater base, Gurglemeel comes across a rather derivative burger stand in the mountains. However, preparing to sue the stand owner for theft of his image will be the least of his worries...

Evilsmurfs 6 Deluxe: Chapter 2.5 Update changelog:

Chapter 2.5:

  • Brand new chapter set right after Chapter 2 and before Chapter 3!
    Action platformer with puzzles!

  • Over 40+ minutes of new content!

  • Gurglemeel encounters a new member of Tha Men who may be his toughest challenge yet! Will Gurglemeel meet his match, or will he live to die another day?

  • New gameplay inspired by the early gameplay plans for the original Evilsmurfs 6!

  • Gameplay elements from Evilsmurfs 4 and 5 return!

Chapter 2 tweaks:

  • Added fish - decorational flair that makes the underwater sections feel more alive! Comes in two variants - lookdowns & gurglefish! Standing still and not scaring them may allow you to make a quick friend or two!

  • Made Chapter 2’s base sections look a bit more detailed

Graphics settings:

  • New option: "Disorientation Effect: Blur / Hue" - Added an alternative poison visual effect for Chapter 2: Instead of blurring, the screen gains a phasing green tint. Ideal for those bothered by the blurring effect or on older / less powerful hardware that can't handle the default shader-based effect

  • Reimplemented damage vignette from Evilsmurfs 6 - can be toggled in the options menu

General:

  • Added new details to Gurglemeel’s house in the hub & elsewhere to make the setting more believable as a house

  • Added keepsake lore: keepsakes in Gurglemeel's attic in the hub world will now have lore that can be read

  • New melee attack: kicking! This attack can be used to dislodge props in your way or attack your enemies if they're getting too close! Press F in most chapters to kick!

  • [Note: the kick ability is currently limited only to the platformer Gurglemeel used in the prologue, hub, Chapter 2.5, etc. This may be extended to the purely side scrolling Gurglemeel in the future.]

  • Reimplemented old Evilsmurfs 6 functionality, giving Gurglemeel unique hurt sounds when below certain health / recovering from certain health points

  • HUD now becomes transparent if the player moves behind it for better visibility

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed an out-of-bounds issue in the final underwater level in Chapter 2

  • Fixed some possible animation issues on Gurglemeel in platforming sections

  • Fixed potential grabbing-related bugs

  • Fixed possible layering issues when quitting to title / hub

  • Fixed boss healthbar persisting upon quitting to title / hub

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
